Andreu Canals Butcher is a Civil Engineer from Barcelona.
During the years 2006 and 2007 he worked on a thesis in which he demonstrated that real estate prices were predictable with an anticipation of 20 years ahead. In the thesis he anticipated the real estate crisis of 2008. He presented the thesis at the prestigious UPC University.
As a civil engineer, he has worked in engineering and construction companies. Among other responsibilities, he was head of economic planning in the construction of Line 9 of the Barcelona metro.

In 2015 he was hired by Solvia, the Spanish real estate company with the largest number of assets, in order to adapt the model to their needs. The model will end up determining the sale price of each of its properties, by implementing it in its management software.
He currently combines the asset management of his investments with the development of mathematical models to anticipate the future price of housing on a global and local scale.
He loves rowing and team commitments. After 5 years of hard training, he rowed in Barcelona’92 Olympics, in the Spanish 8+. He also competed in four World Rowing Championships.
